Level 1.5 Dry Needling

This course is a one day course designed to review and expand upon the fundamental skills of dry needling and its utilization in clinical practice for Physical Therapists. It is not an acupuncture course and will emphasize application of dry needling theory to live patient case scenarios. Safety and proper handling of needles and blood borne pathogens associated with the dry needling will be used and emphasized throughout the entirety of the course. Each participant will be expected to sign a waiver and practice dry needling on a lab partner that is also taking the course. Volunteer patients will also be expected to sign a waiver and will receive treatment under the direct supervision of the course instructors, who are also licensed physical therapists. This course is offered to licensed healthcare professionals and students enrolled in associated programs for entry-level practice.

Level 2 Dry Needling

This course is a two day level 2 dry needling course designed to teach advanced-level dry needling interventions specific to each region of the body including the use of adjunct treatments such as electrical stimulation (electroneedling). It will integrate recent evidence-based concepts presented in the literature to patient cases to optimize treatment outcomes, and is not an acupuncture course. Safety and proper handling of needles and blood borne pathogens associated with the dry needling will be used and emphasized throughout the entirety of the course. Each participant will be expected to sign a waiver and practice dry needling on a lab partner that is also taking the course. This course is offered to licensed healthcare professionals who have previously successfully completed a level 1 dry needling course(s) that covered both upper and lower extremity dry needling practice and application.
